Western Lady Ferry

The “Western Lady” ferry has been in operation for more than 65 years, serving as a gateway across the bay from Torquay to Brixham. This is a delightful way to view the bay, especially on sunnier days, with the trip only lasting about 35 minutes.

The ferry service is now operated under Dartmouth Steam Railway and River Boat Company; look out for the blue and cream boats Western lady V1 and Western Lady V11. Both boats are approx. 60 ft. long and can accommodate in excess of 170 passengers.

The service can be used in conjunction with the Jubilee Travel Card, which allows travel on any of their travel be it boats, buses or steam trains.

They operate an almost hourly service on most days, weather dependent!
