Sailing at Torbay Royal Regatta (19-24 August)

Set against the backdrop of the beautiful English Riviera Geopark, Tor Bay has been used as a venue for sailing competitions for many years. This year we are celebrating 202 years since the first recorded Sailing Match in the Bay. Over the centuries, Tor Bay has become one of the most popular sailing venues in the UK with sheltered waters from the North, West and South.

Races are held each day for most boat classes and there are social events hosted by the host Clubs in the evenings.

GeoSwim- Torbay (28 August)

This challenging event takes place in the beautiful English Riviera Global GeoPark of Torbay, the perfect location for Open Water Swimming!

Staged in the sheltered waters off Goodrington Sands all competitors will experience open water swimming at its very best. What’s so exciting about this course is the natural arena that is created by the cliffs at both ends of the beach and the wonderful spectator promenade on North Beach. Spectators will be able to ‘cheer on’ every stroke as the competitors swim along the sea wall.

There are three “go-long” distances on offer to challenge your spirit of adventure, 1, 3 or 5km.

Gerry Cottle’s WOW Circus (4-30 August)

Driven by all our favourite music from the last 60 years accompaning an awe-inspiring line-up of the world’s greatest acts in circus, comedy and magic for LIVE entertainment to thrill and astonish all ages.
