Model Powerboats Offshore Race

Back in the late 1960’s a small group of enthusiasts had the idea to run and race model powerboats on the sea and in doing so, started a new concept in model racing. The first ‘Chase Boat’ offshore race was held in Torquay in 1967 and proved to be a huge success and took place on the open sea over a course of a couple of miles.
