These costs apply if you are a non resident or if you are a staying with us and would like guests to join them for dinner. Breakfast – £10.00,  Table d’Hote Dinner – £23.95 Breakfast served from 8.30am – 9.30am. Dinner served from 6.45pm – 8.00pm


Children’s reductions (sharing with two adults): Aged 6 – 11: less 50%. (we don’t accept children 5 years old or under. 


Please let us know in advance if you have any special dietary requirements, we cater for most special diets with advance notice including gluten free, wheat free, dairy intolerance, nut allergy’s. I’m afraid we don’t cater for vegan diets unless previously arranged.


A 10% deposit (minimum £50) with booking is required (£100 for Christmas and New Year). Cancellation or changes of booking arrival date or departure date can be made up to 7 days in advance at no charge. (excludes weekend break packages where its 14 days) any bookings cancelled with less than 7 days notice will lose their deposit amount, and less than 24 hours notice full payment of booking required

The total value of the booking may be charged if changes or cancellations are made with less than 24 Hours notice.

We reserve the right to raise or lower our prices at any time. We also reserve the right to correct errors in both advertised and confirmed prices (both before and after your confirmation has been issued). We also reserve the right to cancel a booking at any time for any reason. 

ON-LINE BOOKING: Please note usually a £50.00 per room will be taken as a deposit when a booking is made.

HOLIDAY INSURANCE: The Management reserve the right to make a cancellation charge for accommodation not taken up after a written contract (confirmation) has been entered into. A Holiday insurance proposal can be sent with your reservation confirmation should you wish.

ONE NIGHT STAYS: There is a supplement of £10 per room per night for stays of one night only, in single, double or family rooms on Fri & Sat Night.

CHECK-IN TIME: 3:30pm – 10.00pm CHECK OUT TIME: 10.30am

LATE CHECK OUT / EARLY CHECK IN: Guests may check-in early at 1:30pm for an additional £20 total cost and check-out at 11:30pm for £20 total cost.

NO SMOKING POLICY: All areas are non-smoking. Guests are permitted to smoke in the smoking shelter or on the lawn. Anyone found to be smoking in bedrooms may be asked to leave immediately & be charged with the cost of cleaning the room to remove any traces of smoke for subsequent guests. 


We welcome groups, but we do not accept any Stag or Hen Parties at the Hotel, We also don’t accept young farmers association bookings, or large parties of same sex groups without prior agreement.

All room types subject to availability at the time of booking, the total cost of a room may lower based on special dates / offers we are running, or sometimes higher during periods of high occupancy. The tariff is a guide only, please refer to our on-line booking system for the most accurate prices, or call us.


Temporary Closure until 30th April – COVID 19 

In line with government advice about avoiding non-essential travel, and the increased risk of spreading the COVID-19 virus, it is with great sadness that we must announce that Balmoral will temporarily close.

The closure will initially be until Thursday 30th April 2020 inclusive. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and take advice from the appropriate authorities, and we will only reopen when it is clear that it is safe to do so. If this means that we have to extend the closure beyond 30th April, we will ensure we update you.

What this means is that we will now have to defer all bookings for anyone who was planning to visit us during this closure period.

Rebook for a future date: We very much look forward to the day when all of this is over and we can welcome you back to the Balmoral – With this in mind, we are looking upon this as a postponement, not a cancellation. We very much hope you will want to postpone your holiday and rearrange it for a later date. You can therefore move your booking to any available date this year, we will retain your deposit to be used against this amended booking. If you elect to move your booking to a date with a different seasonal rate, we will need to charge you the new rate, which may be higher or lower, depending on which season you choose.

If you have booked with a voucher then we can move your booking to another off-peak period – which will now be the Autumn. (October onwards) 

 We appreciate that this will be disappointing news for all those who enjoy staying with us,  We would like to thank you for your patience, understanding and support in these exceptional circumstances .
